Dr. Hollingsworth started one of the first breast cancer risk assessment programs in theĀ U.S. (1993), then added genetic testing as soon as it became available (1996), while serving as the first Holder of the G. Rainey Williams Chair in Surgical Breast OncologyĀ at the University of Oklahoma.Ā By 2004, he had moved to Mercy Hospital-OKC, where, as medical director of the breast center,Ā heĀ transitioned fromĀ surgery to running a high-risk surveillance program using US and MRI as adjunct imaging for women with high-risk and high-density profiles.Ā He has written two books for health care providers andĀ interested laypersons -- one on risk assessment/genetics, the other in defense of breast cancer screening.Ā Ā In 2020, he began his current position as Clinical Director, Screening Programs for Aurora Healthcare US CorpĀ
